Clinical Psychologist
Therapy and Testing for Children and Adults

I provide children, adults, and families with therapy, counseling, and testing services.

I offer support, solutions, and guidance through the challenges children and adults face today. My services are two-fold. I provide psychological evaluations to help provide accurate diagnoses and treatment/education recommendations to help adults and children get on the road to academic, career and personal success. I also provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, teens, and adults to help them realize and achieve their true potential.

For children….

Childhood disorders are becoming increasingly more common, leaving parents and families with more challenges than ever before. Autism is on the rise with one in 166 children affected every year; ADHD and ADD affect 3-5% of school-aged children; between 6 and 16% of boys and girls struggle with behavior problems affecting academics and family life; and up to 10% of children in the U.S. will be affected by severe anxiety or depression.

With all the daily challenges of raising a child in our current climate, its hard to know whether we are on the right track. You may not be sure what is “normal” for your child and what constitutes a “disorder”. But as a parent, your intuition is your best tool to determine if your child is struggling. I can guide you through the process of assessing what’s “normal” behavior for your child and how to address even the most common parenting challenges, like how to gain greater compliance from teens, how to increase communication in the family, how to help your child cope with divorce, and how to blend a family after remarriage. I also help children with challenges posed by severe mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD/ADD.

For adults….

Sometimes you need to talk to someone outside of your circle of friends and family. When you worry all the time, have more sad days than happy ones, when the way you feel is affecting your sleep, your eating habits, your job, your relationships, your everyday life. When even the advice offered by family or well-meaning friends doesn't really help you feel any better, you may need help from an objective, non-judgmental person.

Just the act of accessing this website brings you one step closer to healing and taking control of life’s challenges.

As a therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Therapy can help you to understand the patterns or choices in your life that keep you from feeling truly happy and fulfilled, develop coping skills to deal better with stress, communicate more effectively, or feel like you have more choices and more control over your life.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance or you're just ready to move in a new direction, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call, 713-377-8657, or email me for a child, individual, or family consultation today.
